Come to me blessed moon
Why must you leave so soon
The light will be gone
Her starry eyes, so bright
The birds would think it were not night
And sing til the dawn
My love will prove a false desire
The day water turns to wine, and tears to fire
She shines like the sun
While my world’s begun
The skies were gray, but now they’re blue
The stars shine bright, the world’s anew
How can I go back there while my heart’s stuck here with you
The measure done. Forswear it, sight
There was no beauty ‘til tonight
Listen to the poets sow
Songs of Juliet and Romeo
Lord knows I feel no shame
There’s no damn thing in your name
That means to me defeat
For very wise man knows
Pick another name for a rose
Smells just as sweet
But if my aching heart surmounts my head
Then I fear the grave will be our wedding bed
With rings of fire
And death
The skies were gray, but now they’re blue
The stars shine bright, the world’s anew
How can I go back there while my heart’s stuck here with you
The measure done. Forswear it, sight
There was no beauty ‘til tonight
Listen to the poets sow
Songs of Juliet and Romeo
