Starcrossed

Lord, I fear I’ve reached the end
I can feel the rain again
Can I really face this world on my own?
Baby, mark another day
Some poor fool gave himself away
I think I’ll pack my things and go home
Why do I jump from the bridge when I can see what’s below?
Why do I offer my heart, for them to take a piece and go?
It’s ‘cause I know
Just ask the stars above
It takes just one good love
To save my heart from the cold
And we’ll never grow old
Cause the dark doesn’t stay
When the lights fade away
When the world’s dead and gone
You’ll see the starcrossed shine on
Seems it’s time to make amends
Say goodbye to all your friends
You say you’ll meet again, but know not when
Leave behind the petty fights
Good and bad sleepless nights
Time to find someplace new to start again
How can we feel so much fire and save any for the show?
Why do we move out so fast, yet move on so slow?
It’s ‘cause we know
Just ask the stars above
It takes just one good love
To save my heart from the cold
And we’ll never grow old
And the dark doesn’t stay
When the lights fade away
When the world’s dead and gone
You’ll see the starcrossed shine on
I feel the dark closing in
And I’m in the rain again
But I think I’ll sit and look up for a while
